World Ballet Day LIVE 2018 returns Tuesday 2 October 2018. The Australian Ballet, Bolshoi Ballet and The Royal Ballet unite once again, inviting guests companies from all over the world, to go LIVE on Facebook.

A celebration of dance, World Ballet Day is an opportunity for audiences to see what it takes to be one of the world’s top companies, providing viewers around the world an inside look at the athleticism and dedication required for a life in ballet. Each company will introduce viewers to a variety of experiences from technique classes and rehearsals to backstage preparations.

This year, The Australian Ballet, Bolshoi Ballet andThe Royal Ballet will host World Ballet Day on their Facebook pages. But there is so much more going on, with invited companies from all over the world also going LIVE. The official schedule will be updated to ensure you know where all the action is happening.

As an invitee to World Ballet Day’s live stream, West Australian Ballet will do an exclusive sneak peek of their collaboration with award-winning Australian choreographer, Garry Stewart of a full piece to be performed at their Ballet at the Quarry season next year. The live stream will commence at 12:30pm AEST

Queensland Ballet will also be involved in the World Ballet Day celebrations, coming to you in the afternoon both from their home in Brisbane and also on tour in Melbourne. QB will share a sneak peek of their A Midsummer Night’s Dream rehearsals, live from Her Majesty’s Theatre.
