Major Gifts and Bequests Manager
WASO’s Philanthropy Team are seeking a highly motivated, warm and approachable person with strong fundraising experience to help build the philanthropic income stream for WASO through the management of a portfolio of campaigns, including Major Gifts.
Working with the Executive Manager, Philanthropy & Corporate, you will build an effective donor pipeline and engage patrons through a strong stewardship program as well as successfully manage marketing and promotion activities that support philanthropic campaigns and giving opportunities. You will also work closely with your team to create strategies, proposals, plans and events that cultivate and support WASO’s bequest program.
To be successful you will have tertiary qualifications in either Arts, Business Administration, Marketing or Fundraising or extensive demonstrated experience in this field. Furthermore, you will have experience in the not-for-profit sector, preferably in an arts environment.
You will also be able to demonstrate:
- Demonstrated experience in a fundraising environment;
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills;
- A demonstrated track record of generating significant gifts;
- Proven success in relationship cultivation and management;
- High level ethical standards of behaviour and good judgment.
- The ability to develop marketing campaigns and communications; and
- Research and analytical skills, thoroughness and exceptional attention to detail.
