This full time permanent role oversees Finance, Human Resources, IT and Customer Relationship Management. In addition, this role will act as joint Company Secretary to the Board and other committees. The role works closely with a newly appointed CEO and management team.

About the role

As the successful candidate, you will be a professionally qualified accountant ideally studying or intending to study for a Governance qualification. You will have significant experience at a senior level, including monthly board reporting, financial management systems and development and the preparation of financial statements to recognised accounting standards.

You will have a track record of leading Finance and Corporate Services functions at an executive level in an Arts or Not for Profit organisation and will have had sufficient exposure to equip you to effectively manage the core functions.

You will be a dynamic leader and a pro-active team player working collaboratively with the CEO and management team. You will be highly focused and passionate about influencing the company's performance in a positive way. 

You will be expected to be 'hands-on', bring highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, a strong ethical and values base and relate well to people at all levels across the company.

Skills and experience

Ideally you will have worked in a similar role for a minimum of 5-6 years, be comfortable in providing professional advice, be familiar with acquittals and government grant funding, be experienced in end to end budgeting and forecast processes and in leading, organising and motivating staff towards established goals across the company.
