Company Manager - Bran Nue Dae (The Musical)
Opera Australia is seeking a passionate and detailed orientated professional who enjoys working in a fast paced theatre environment. The Company Manager will be responsible for managing the day to day operations of Bran Nue Dae for the Sydney, Perth, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra and Adelaide seasons.
Opera Australia is dedicated to enriching Australia’s cultural life with exceptional opera that excites audiences and sustains and develops the art form. It is Australia’s largest and busiest performing arts organization, with over 600 opera performances a year.
This role requires a confident multi tasker with great problem solving skills who can approach their day with an optimistic approach to a myriad of tasks.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong administrative and production management experience with highly sophisticated interpersonal and communication
skills, both written and verbal. Fundamental to success in the role will be extensive high level experience in theatrical company management, confidence
in working alongside recognised industry professionals across all elements of the performing arts industry and a good understanding of Live Theatre
The Company Manager’s responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
- Personnel management: on all matters relating to the welfare and general wellbeing of employees including implementation of policies
- Technical support: in consultation with the Producer, creative and production team, plan and coordinate all pre-production activities,
rehearsals and performances
- Workplace Health and Safety: ensure compliance with all state and federal workplace health and safety legislation and assist in the
management of WorkCover requirements
- Publicity, Marketing and Ticketing: assist in all aspects of publicity and media calls, marketing, social media, sponsorship and ticketing
This position is a touring role and the successful candidate will be traveling with the production of Bran Nue Dae to Sydney, Perth, Melbourne, Brisbane,
Canberra and Adelaide. Work from other locations may be required.
