Louise Crossley Conducting Workshop particpants
Tasmania Symphony Orchestra have announced the six successful applicants for their second "Louise Crossley Conducting Workshop" - a fantastic training opportunity for aspiring female conductors.

Thanks to the generous legacy of Dr Crossley, the TSO is able to provide this valuable training opportunity at no cost to participants. Interstate applicants can also apply for an accompanying travel bursary. Observers are encouraged, and welcome to attend free of charge.
TSO CEO Caroline Sharpen said, ‘Dr Louise Crossley, an eminent
Tasmanian scientist and environmentalist, loved the Tasmanian Symphony
Orchestra and took pride in the equal representation of women on stage.
It was her hope that one day women would be equally represented as
conductors of the world’s great orchestras – a hope that the TSO is
dedicated to supporting through its commitment to emerging artists.
