In the world premiere of Mountain, ACO and BAFTA-nominated director Jennifer Peedom (Sherpa) join forces in an epic cinematic and musical collaboration to create a soundscape that captures the changing moods of mountains.

Don’t miss Maestro Charles Dutoit conducting a rare Sydney production of Debussy's spellbinding opera inPelléas et Mélisande: Opera in the Concert Hall. As Debussy took symphony into the opera theatre, Sydney Symphony Orchestra now brings opera into the concert hall.

Sydney Dance Company offers a gripping evening of dance with Frame of Mind which begins its national, regional tour this month. This wildly powerful double bill features the smash hitWildebeest — a moody and animalistic piece by Gabrielle Nankivell — and Rafael Bonachela’s multi–award winningFrame of Mind, with its dramatic contemporary-classical soundtrack.

Topical and relevant, brand-new work Bennelong is also Bangarra Dance Theatre at its best. Choreographed by Artistic Director Stephen Page, the company celebrates the continuation of life and culture using the power of a unique Australian dance language.

Queensland Theatre’s Artistic Director Sam Strong has harnessed the mercurial talents of the country’s top comics for a wickedly funny night inNoises Off — Michael Frayn’s frenetically funny meta-farce. Enjoy the hilarious fallout as a pompous director attempts to stage a bedroom farce with a mediocre cast, in one of the world’s funniest plays.

And there’s so much more!

The days may be colder and shorter, but with this array of talent and entertainment on offer, how can you stay at home?

Kind regards,
