The Richard Pratt Business Arts Leadership Award was awarded to Dr Helen Nugent AO, who has been an innovative leader in arts funding and has challenged traditional thinking with her new ideas on private sector support for the arts in Australia.

She was especially influential in the light of the Nugent Inquiry which marked a fundamental shift in the way the major performing arts sector was funded and operated. The review led to increased public sector funding, as well as a recognition that we needed to diversify our funding to include private sources from both the corporate sector and individual donors.

Circus Oz and Annamila Pty Ltd won the Creative Partnerships Philanthropy Program Award. Annamila is a company established for philanthropic purposes, and wanting to invest in programs promoting Indigenous inclusion and engagement. A donation from Annamila enabled Circus Oz to employ a full-time Indigenous program manager and establish an Indigenous recruitment program, BLAKflip.

AMPAG congratulates all winners for their excellent work in forging partnerships across arts and business.
