The Australian Major Performing Arts Group, or AMPAG, is the umbrella group for Australia's major performing arts companies who inspire millions through theatre, circus, contemporary dance, classical ballet, classical music, opera, musicals and comedy.

There are 28 companies located in all states of Australia who make up the Australian Major Performing Arts Group (AMPAG). We work with our members to ensure they are adequately supported by government – federal, state and local – and are accessible to all Australians. Corporate sponsorship is a key element in their funding together with private philanthropy.

Each AMPAG company has its own Board and is responsible for its own governance.

It is the responsibility of each of those Boards to act in a manner which is in the best interests of their company, in both the short and long term.

Those Boards will as a matter of course consider a range of issues when dealing with donations and sponsorship arrangements and every case will be unique. The overriding aim will be to develop long term, strategic relationships on a sustainable basis for both the company and the donor or sponsor.
